Decisions of grandeur

This is a single repeat of the lovely Hartshorn Cable from A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns, by the esteemed Barbra Walker. As a single repeat of a motif it loses some of it's charm as compared to how each repeat blends beautifully into the next. I also wouldn't use rows of it next to each other, it is too complicated to try and compete with itself over and over. In all it is the perfect cable for the cuff on a pair of Kilt hose. I did make the decision to make the cuff looser on both socks so I will be delaying finishing a bit, but ultimately I will be happier with the product that I put in the mail.
