the close up shows the color better. it is 100% mercerized cotton, and I love the green stripeyness, and I wanted some summery socks, but the yarn kinda hurts my hands. well maybe it will slow me down, i have decided I knit too fast, I have to buy yarn and figure out what I want to knit next so soon.I want to knit a sweater, but I still havent found "my" pattern. I want the perfect one. and i don't need to spend more than 50.00 on yarn either, 40.00 is what I'm figureing to spend, but If I could do it for 20 or so that would rock
